Worldwide American Sign Language Meetup Message Board › How do I find a free/volunteer interpreter??

I attend a spiritual AA meeting on Thursday nights from 7p to 8p. One of the regular members has been sober over 5 years and is deaf & cannot speak. He really needs someone to sign for him. I am currently writing down, as best I can, everything that the other group members say. Bob doesn't have anyway to share his experience, strength, & hope with the rest of us because the deaf association in Grand Rapids (Michigan) can only provide 1 interpreter per meeting & she is currently going to a meeting at the same time, same club, but a different meeting. The group we attend is non-smoking. If you know any sources I can contact that may be able to help out, please let me know.
Thankyou. |
