This meetup was started to bring together anyone and everyone who is interested in American Sign Language. We would like to invited people to join us in practicing the beautiful language that is ASL. Whether your are a student, teacher, interpreter or someone who just wants to learn join us! *Beginners you are more than welcome to attend meetings! I only ask that if you are truly interested in learning ASL please take the initiative to practice a little each day! There are some great DVD's, websites, software and books that can help you along the way. This will help make our meetings more enjoyable!

My 29 year old daughter has been signing since she was 16 and her enthusiam encouraged me to get involved. "Oh no it is ASL that's on the DVDs, it's just jazzed up for kids. It has songs and things like that.It was made by a mother of a deaf child who's on the DVDs. Thank you for the links..:)"
-
"I'm not fluent in the art of baby sign. I always taught my girls the actual ASL sign and they would do their own version and in time they would be able to correct their hands. I think now you should practice and then sign when you speak to your child. The more you sign the more she'll pick up. Here's some sites I use... http://commtech lab.msu.edu/Sit es/aslweb/brows er.htm http://www.aslp ro.com/cgi-bin/ aslpro/aslpro.c gi "
