“ I have a profound hearing loss which began when I was seven years old. I can hear sound but can only understand 60% of what I hear. That can be very frustrating. Meeting with others who care to learn to communicate with the Deaf is very encouraging to me. If you know just a little bit of Sign Language, this group would give you the opportunity to use and further develop those skills. And, you would have fun with this group. Age or skill level does not matter. There are interpretors, beginners, deaf, hard of hearing, students, and people who use Signing at work, etc. This group is small and growing. They are looking for new and enjoyable ways of coming together to socialize and share and encourage others to Learn Sign Language. The person you help the most could be yourself, your spouce, your child or a friend. Janet ”
