Thanks to everyone for a very successful July meetup! Thanks to all for coming and continuing to make the meetup group a success. Our next meetup will be on August the 22nd at the Arundel Mills mall food court from 10:00am to 1:00pm. We hope to see you there!

Becky has now assumed leadership responsibilities for the ASL Meetup ~ Baltimore Region. There have been many suggestions to split the group into two separate levels: ASL basic through ASL 3 and ASL 3 through proficient. I will allow the participants to decide which group they are most comfortable with.

Don't be shy, we have had signers of all levels attend from signers that are self-taught through books and videos to signers that have taken formal classes at local area universities. Everyone is friendly and we're here to help one another achieve a higher skill level.

Brunch from 10:00am to 1:00pm. This is a great opportunity to make new friends and contacts. Remember, meetings can't happen without you and you are more than welcome to join us!

    I was hoping to catch the last hour of the meeting, but when I arrived, I couldn't find any signers. Does anyone know what happened?

    You can go to HASA <www.hasa.org> and sign up class called "Learn American Sign Language". Only Tuesday, once a week for ten weeks.

    • “ Felt very welcomed. Learned new signs. Am learning to better differentiate between ASL and SEE. Had fun with an ASL game. ”
    • “ This was my first time at the meet up. It was a small group with mixed asl skills. The people who were more experienced were helpful and patient. It has made me realize I need more practice and exposure to asl. I'm hoping a meet up is started in the northern Baltimore county area. ”
