MUSIC IN MOTION is the Annual American Sign Language performing troupe consisting of approximately 90 hearing high school students all performing magically together in a show not to be missed! These hearing students all attend Quince Orchard HS in Gaithersburg, Md. where they take American Sign Language from Susan Davidoff Gershowitz, who produces and directs the show, and is Deaf herself ( and Miss Deaf America 1976) . These wonderfully talented and energetic students, mostly beginner sign language students last fall, effortlessly interpret an array of songs into American Sign Language, entertaining children and adults of all ages.
After touring several elementary schools in MCPS, the students will culminate their "school touring shows" with--
MUSIC IN MOTION--THE NIGHT SHOW on May 21.

MUSIC IN MOTION! will be presented for the entire community on May 21 at 7:00 p.m. at Quince Orchard HS , 15800 Quince Orchard Road, Gaithersburg, Md. 20878. Admission is $3.00 in advance or $4.00 at the door. One hundred percent of the proceeds from ticket sales go to funding production costs for this non-profit high school group so they may continue entertaining the community every year.
There are plenty of tickets, but long lines to get in so arrive early. For questions or tickets, contact Susan at suesign@comcast.net or Susan_D_Gershowitz@mcpsmd.org

MUSIC IN MOTION showcases ASL as an expressive art form that brings songs visually alive for deaf people and allows hearing audiences to discover the beauty of American Sign Language.
MUSIC IN MOTION has been featured on channel 7 news titled "What Works In Education" and on channel 21 Montgomery TV, as well as in many newspapers in the Washington metropolitan area.

This show is wonderful and you will be impressed with the signing skills of these HS students! --Come for an hour of fun! Please come and show your support for these hearing kids who have worked so hard to bring music to both deaf and hearing people-- and expect to be absolutely delighted!
