Introduction
I'm very new to ASL and am currently taking a course at Wake Tech. I don't know anyone who signs except the people in my class. I am pretty shy at first but would like a place to meet and practice my new language. I hope to be at the next meetup! :)

When did you first become aware of the existence of ASL?

In the fourth grade, when my social studies teacher began integrating ASL into our daily curriculum. I don't remember much, which is why I'm taking classes now.
